Are Pain and Purpose Connected?
I feel like it isn’t far reached to say that our pain shapes our purpose, or at least it did for me.
You likely will never see it in my face, but I deal with several chronic invisible illnesses that cause me a lot of physical pain. They are what led me to the magic of plants. It started with cannabis and the door opened to what felt like the door to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. The possibilities and benefits were endless. I now manage my pain and fatigue using natural and organic tools and practices and I can’t thank nature enough! After creating and selling my first product line that was cannabis based, the need for alternative inflammatory relief in the mainstream market was literally screaming at me. This led me to develop products with the efficacy of cannabis as the bar. I had to create something that offered the same relief, and I did. I am forever grateful to my Creator for giving me the tools and resourcefulness to not only change the direction of my own life but also help me to design tools that will help do that for others.
This is the part of the journey where I must expand my space and my reach.
That doesn’t just mean increasing my customer base, because while that is important, I absolutely love organic, natural growth. I am referring mainly to expanding my network of other makers, visionaries, women and other movers and shakers. I am expanding my personal space by releasing the things that don’t elevate me to do better and be better. There is never a time when I am not looking for tools and practices to help with my pain, and I am now learning to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of my physical work because as things ramp up and business is moving, my body needs more of my attention. It’s all a process and I acknowledge and accept it. Part of the process for me is opening up and being vulnerable, and that is where this blog post comes in. This blog has been dormant for quite some time…until now.
Dear Blog Reader,
I have had you on the back burner for far too long. Not any longer! Welcome to my world. There is a lot of new growth happening around these parts and I am excited to share it all with you. My goal here is to create and curate tools that offer function and aesthetics. I mean, why choose? I also want to talk about practices and tools that I personally use to help with daily stressors, pain, inflammation, and fatigue. Let’s talk whole wellness! Thank you for being patient with me and please come back to read the next one.
I have a lot to say…
With Love and Light,
